Bloomsbury is offering a 35% discount on my book God’s Angry Men: The Political Legacy of the John Birch Society

Today Bloomsbury Publishing sent me the full covers of my book being released in November this year. I could be biased but I love it! I am so very proud of this work, analyzing the “constructed victimhood” of white, Christian, Canadian men online and the potential political implications. These men believe they are being oppressed by feminists, LGBTQI+ communities, anti-racism, and are demanding that the populist leaders that acknowledge their perceived injustices create a Canada led by Christian nationalism, the remigration of all immigrants, and the removal of rights for non-white, non heterosexual, non-male, non-Christian Canadians.
This book represents the work I started when I was a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Disinformation Project, and I a beyond excited that Dr. Ahmed Al-Rawi has endorsed my book. Dr. Barbara Perry who I also served as a Postdoctoral Fellow with her Centre on Hate, Bias, and Extremism also endorsed my book. Dr. Perry has become such an important part of my career, and my goals. I am so blessed to have these two individuals in my world, and I cannot express my gratitude for their endorsements.

There is a discount code available for Americans for my book God’s Angry Men: The Political Legacy of the John Birch Society. A Canadian discount code is coming soon!
My book God’s Angry Men is officially available today! This has been a project that has been a part of my world for quite some time and I am so excited to share this research! In support of the book I have created a separate website with information. I am also planning to write short pieces analyzing current events, with the research contained in the book about the fruition of the JBS plan for America in 2026.
While celebrating the release of my book God’s Angry Men: The Political Legacy of the John Birch Society I am so excited to reveal the cover of the second book I have written.
Constructed Victimhood: A Pathway to Mainstreaming Hate on Social Media is an analysis of white Christian men in Canada who post on social media, to create a populist movement to change their perceived position in society. Constructing a victim status for themselves to the “oppression” of feminists, “the woke,” LGBTQ2SA, immigrants, and non-Christians these men attempt to resolve their perceived injustice at the hands of progress, through hate, populism, and extremism. This is not simply a movement online, as we witness meta-political and militia movements converging, and populist leaders appealing to their Maple MAGA, hate rhetoric. The book is available for pre-order for a release on October 15, 2026.

Today I received hard copies of my book God’s Angry Men: The Political Legacy of the John Birch Society. This has been a project that has been my “child” for many years. It stems from my dissertation on the JBS, where I initially wrote about the wealthy men who were behind the Society, and the political movement they wanted to create to elect a far-right, pro-free enterprise, conservative Messiah. Using fear, conspiracy theories, culture war issues, and religion, the JBS and its wealthy backers were able to mobilize a portion of Christian conservatives to nominate Barry Goldwater. While the JBS were never taken seriously, even in scholarship, they did go below the radar after 1964, but their leadership/backers did not. This book follows the wealthy individuals that took lessons from the JBS, to establish the Moral Majority, The Council on National Policy, and The Heritage Foundation. While we dismissed the JBS, the leaders of these new political movements based on the same tactics the JBS used, led us to the moment were Project 2025 is leading the Trump Administration and his base.
My first solo authored book God’s Angry Men will be published and available on April 30, 2026.
I am so excited to share all my work with the world. Also nervous AF. This book is based on my PhD dissertation with a gynormous pile of new material.
Wonder how we got the Heritage Foundation and Project 2025? Have you heard of the Council of National Policy? You should know about it because it helped to get American where it is today.
Both these incredibly powerful organizations that have positioned America in the hellscape it is currently living in, came from the John Birch Society.

A couple days ago, I approved the cover of my new book coming out in early 2026. God’s Angry Men: The Political Legacy of the John Birch Society, follows the ideas, wealthy individuals, and conspiracy theories, interwoven with Christian nationalism that were the foundations of the JBS, through to the members who established the Moral Majority, the Council on National Policy, and the Heritage Foundation. The JBS wanted a Christian nationalism that benefited the wealthy, white, men of America, and used fear, conspiracy, and Christianity to mobilize an electorate. Established in 1958, the JBS vision of America did not come to fruition until Project 2025 and the Presidencies of Donald Trump.

In 2025, I will have a manuscript published: Constructed Victimhood next year. The book contextualizes the role of a sense of persecution of white, Christian, men express on social media, providing an persona of victimhood allowing them to pursue an ideology of anti-immigration, anti-feminism, and anti-LGBTQ2SA communities. They are not alone, with some Christian women online, articulating the same victim status helping to mobilize a Christian nationalist movement across North America. Please check back for more details!
During my Postdoctoral Fellow position at the Disinformation Project at Simon Fraser University, we created a novel approach to coding conspiracy theories and right-wing extremists’ use of these theories to spread their ideologies. The entire group including Dr. Ahmed Al-Rawi, are the authors of The Canadian Far Right and Conspiracy Theories, with Routledge’s Far Right Series. Stay tuned for updated publication dates!
