I spoke with CBC News about the rise of “false flag” conspiracy theories after the attempted shooting at the White House Correspondence Dinner. Conspiracies reflect the fears and sense of injustice (real or perceived) of those who feel distrust of institutions of society, the political process, and have a feeling of perpetual disaster.
